Trefuly Literary and Still Life Photography Competitions

Trefuly is launching two competitions on London-desk focused on still life on May 15, 2024. The photography will tell a story in the form of an office still life which must incorporate a desk either in an office environment, home or a more creative concept of desk.

The Flash fiction competition is creative non-fiction focusing more on memoir. The stories must incorporate the city of London. Our Definition of creative non-fiction is writing non-fiction based on fact. The creative non-fiction stories are created for non scholarly purposes and are either memoir or a personal essay.

Power Cord Fighting with Headphones

My headphones share the same plug space as the power cord on the iphone and my Samsung tablet. This means I have limited ability to use my iphone or my tablet with headphones if I want to keep the device charged.

Since it take longer to charge my tablet, I’ve decided to use my headphones with my iphone. The issue I am currently having is that my new iphone uses a different plug than my old iphone and my headset which is wired requires an adapter. I have two adapters but the one for the old iphone has gone wonky which means it has to be replaced.

The headphones have caused an issue for me at the shared office space. I want to focus on my work and need to keep headphones on but if I have to charge the device, I’m stuck wearing headphones not attached to anything which looks a bit silly – if anyone notices.

I have two phones – the newer one and my older one. I could use the old one just for music but the plug is wonky.

This is the distraction I’m dealing with at work today at the shared work space.

Having unlimited time to charge devices at the shared workspace makes the workspace worth having. My membership allows me to uses several places around London with reservations. My home space is in cambridge and I can use it anyday of the week.

I like reserving a desk space so I don’t have to worry about being without a power outlet for my devices or a designated work table space for my work to do lists.

Today is Wednesday, and the office space has a few people working but the space is not as busy as on Tuesday so I’m not worried about my energy access. Over the weekend, the shared workspace feels a bit like an executive lounge with plenty of places to charge my devices.

I’m currently working seven days a week and energy is a major focus for my workday, workweek, worklife as a shared workspace member. Hopefully, the page on power will help you think about your smartphone before the battery is on red.
